The Sounds of West Texas Concert Series is celebrating a major milestone with its "10 Year Anniversary Celebration Show!”
This will be a fun and exciting show featuring some of Lubbock’s finest musicians showing off their talent on Saturday, August 3rd, beginning with an earlier time of 7:00 p.m. This will be an eclectic evening of songs that have been requested by the audience, and favorites of some of the past shows-such as: Till I’m Too Old to Die Young, Candle in the Wind, Jolene, Landslide, Rave On, Walk Through This World With Me, Millionaire, Golden Ring, Jet Airliner and many more fantastic songs and specially, re-created moments.
The Sounds of West Texas “Cream of the Crop Band” members: Mike Carraway, Danny Dukatnik, Mike Huffman, Donnie Martin, Brent Smith, Mark Wallney and Steve Williams will show off their musical skills with songs such as: The Devil Went Down to Georgia, Hotel California and Last Date - to name a few. There also will be a RARE appearance by “Minerva and the Pearls” that you don’t want to miss! Featured performers for this special show will be: Lynn Alenxander, Larry Allen, Steve Burrus, Jason Duncan, Ray Espinoza, Donnetta Lippe, Donnie Martin, Minerva and the Pearls, Johnny Richardson, Kallie Rogers, Kaci Sallee, Betty Smith, Brent Smith, Keith Smith, Mark Wallney and Terry Westbrook. Emcee for the evening will be Darryl Holland, owner of the Cactus Theater. There will be a few surprises and rare moments that can ONLY be seen collectively on this show!
Doors will open at 6:00 pm and some door prizes given away at 6:50.
