Sounds of West Texas: “A Tribute to Our Military” Show - Live at Cactus Theater!

The Sounds of West Texas presents its "Tribute to Our Military" show, Saturday, June 4th.

Some of Lubbock's finest musicians will be giving spectacular performances with a mix of country, soft rock, folk, pop, and patriotic songs - that will honor our military. This show will also be a fundraiser for the Texas South Plains Honor Flight. There will be some silent auction items, a donation bucket and proceeds will be donated to the Honor Flight organization. Come out to show appreciation to our military past and present, and enjoy some wonderful songs that will make you proud to be an American! This show will make the audience members proud of our military, plus be moved by some fascinating stories from a few of our veterans. Kurt Kiser will be the emcee for the evening will make the this presentation truly fun and inspiring!

Some of the songs that will be performed on this show are: "Eighth of November, " "Okie Soldier," "Riding With Private Malone," "God Bless the USA," "Traveling Soldier," "Can't You See," a Creedence Clearwater Revival medley, "Forever Young," "Brown Eyed Girl," "Are the Good Times Really Over," "Shenandoah" and many more classic and familiar patriotic songs. This is one you won't want to miss!

Featured performers will be: Larry Allen, Steve Burrus, Tanner Evans, Mark Frandsen, Jimmy Henderson, Brenda Hopkins, Mike Huffman, Darryl Lippe, Donnetta Lippe, Donnie Martin, Betty Smith and Mark Wallney.

The Sounds of West Texas concert is a one-of-a-kind show for the whole family with door prizes for lucky audience members, plus whimsical jingles spotlighting some of the sponsors - and these are always fun for the audience. This concert series always has a mix of all kinds of music, some comedy, door prizes and inspiring songs the whole family can enjoy.

Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., the first set of door prizes will be given at 6:50 and the show will begin at 7:00.

Tickets:

$20 for floor and standard balcony seats;

$40 for box seats in the balcony (box seat includes concessions with proof of ticket purchase; present ticket at lobby counter when ordering)
