Born in Beckenham, England, in 1971, internationally acclaimed fingerpicking guitarist Richard Smith is a veteran road dog sometimes referred to as “The Hardest Working Man in the Biz.”
With a repertoire that spans from uptempo barn burners to swing standards - Chopin, Bach, Mozart, Scott Joplin, fiddle tunes, pop, ’60s classics to Sousa marches - his solo show is a showcase of guitar virtuosity and versatility.
Many marveled at Richard's performance at Cactus Theater when he opened the show for world-renowned guitarist Tommy Emmanuel a few years ago - so here's your chance to see and visit with Richard up close and personal at this incredible house concert in the charming environment of Dreamland Villa - one of Lubbock's most unique homes - located at 1707-33rd St. Pending inclement weather, the concert will be moved inside to the living room area.
